Dr. Samuel Barry is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. He is passionate about restoring and optimizing vision through the latest advancements in surgical and medical eye care. Dr. Barry earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri, where he served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete a prestigious fellowship in Cornea and External Disease through the University of Maryland and Solomon Eye Associates, gaining specialized expertise in complex corneal conditions and advanced refractive procedures. Dr. Barry brings his surgical skills and compassionate care to patients across the region. He is experienced in a wide range of procedures, including premium cataract surgery, LASIK, and other refractive surgeries, as well as treatments for corneal disease and dry eye. Dr. Barry is actively involved in clinical research and has presented at national ophthalmology conferences, contributing to innovations in corneal cross-linking, cataract surgery outcomes, and astigmatism management. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his commitment to patient-centered care. Outside of work, Dr. Barry enjoys running, CrossFit, tennis, disc golf, and exploring the outdoors. He also has a strong interest in global travel and is conversational in Spanish.
